BOOM! Studios Revives #BoostYourLCS To Showcase Safe Service Comic Shops

by Neil Bui

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the comic industry has explored ways to continue operating and serving the needs of its loyal customers.

It was just yesterday that Diamond Comic Distributors (the biggest distributor of comics) gave the “OK” for shops to sell new comics on Tuesdays, instead of the standard Wednesday weekly release date.

And now, BOOM! Studios is doing their part and sharing a worldwide map to help bring attention to shops that are able to safely distribute comics to fans.

Years ago, the CEO & Founder of comic book publisher BOOM! Studios Ross Richie rallied the industry with #BoostYourLCS (LCS: local comic shop).

Today BOOM!’s Retail Sales Coordinator, Morgan Perry, is reviving it during these troubling coronavirus times to help comic readers find shops with safe services such as curbside pick up or home delivery.
