What Dorkaholics Is, Will Be, Should Be

by Neil Bui

I recently read an article on Built In titled “Every Startup Has Three Stories, and You Need to Tell All of Them.” This article, written by Joe Procopio, highlights the importance of these stories as well as the challenges in keeping them clear and balanced. One idea that Procopio suggests is to write backward with the ending in mind. It’s about telling the second and third stories, while consciously living out the first one.

So, without further ado, here are my thoughts on the stories of Dorkaholics:

What Dorkaholics Is

Day in and day out, what we do is develop content around pop culture in the form of news, reviews, interviews, and other types of articles, journals, photo galleries. We tell stories, express our own creativity, and use the wonders of technology to better connect with our audiences.

It's not just about reading the stories of heroes, but meeting them too.

What Dorkaholics Will Be

Our team here has two overarching goals in mind. We want to become a trustworthy brand that readers regularly engage with, while also serving as a platform that celebrities/creators/professionals rely on to get the word out on the projects that matter to them the most. Dorkaholics will exist for fans and creators alike to Dork On about the things they both love.

What Dorkaholics Should Be

Our dream is to be the primary source of pop culture content for fans around the world. Between movie premieres and Comic-Cons, enthusiasts and fanatics are going to Dorkaholics.com to find out the latest developments in their favorite franchises. It’s not just about what we know, it’s about how we deliver it.

Hopefully, these stories are clear and as a reader, you’re able to see how Dorkaholics is actively pursuing these plans. I’m also interested in your thoughts on the stories of Dorkaholics. Is there room for another pop culture news publication in the world? What can Dorkaholics be that doesn’t already exist?
