Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, TV, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on “Made in Korea”, “The Hunting Party”, “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple”, and “Pillion”.
- “Made in Korea” – Trailer
“I believe those in power change the world.” Oof, chills. A corrupt government agent pursued by a relentless prosecutor? Get ready for a morally conflicting series as we struggle to decide whether or not to root for the protagonist of this series. The series stars two Korean legends – Hyun Bin (“Crash Landing on You”) and Jung Woo-sung (“Athena: Goddess of War”).
Release Date: On Hulu and Disney+ on December 24, 2025
Synopsis: in 1970s Korea, “Made in Korea” Season 1 follows Baek Kitae, an ambitious KCIA agent who’s living a double life. Driven by his thirst for power, Kitae works as an agent by day and a smuggler by night. Smart, suave, cunning and capable, Kitae rapidly moves up the ranks after using his smuggling operation to consolidate power, protect his brother, and generate vast sums of money for the agency. Seemingly unstoppable, only one thing stands in his way — a tenacious prosecutor who can’t be reasoned with, bought or bribed. With everything at stake for both men, the series will follow the duo as they look to take each other down.
- “The Hunting Party” Season 2 – Trailer
The first season of “The Hunting Party” ended with many questions unanswered, setting up season two to deal with the ramifications and fallout. The trailer for the second season shows Bex and her team continuing to hunt escaped killers, but the psychopaths seem even more dangerous this time around.
Release Date: On NBC on January 8, 2026 at 10 pm
Synopsis: “The Hunting Party” is a high-concept crime procedural about a small team of investigators led by former FBI profiler Rebecca “Bex” Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh). They’ve been assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers the world has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from “The Pit,” a top-secret government prison that’s not supposed to exist. As Bex races to catch these killers before it’s too late, she’ll discover the one thing more twisted than the dangerous fugitives she’s chasing is the prison itself that they just escaped from…because “The Pit” wasn’t just a prison.
- “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” – Trailer
“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” shows us that the biggest danger after a world infection might just be the survivors of this doomed future. Somehow each film in this franchise just feels more terrifying with each release, and somehow it feels natural that humanity becomes a threat to itself at some point.
Release Date: In theaters on January 16, 2026
Synopsis: In a continuation of the epic story, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship – with consequences that could change the world as they know it – and Spike’s (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) becomes a nightmare he can’t escape. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival – the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying.
- “Pillion” – Teaser Trailer
Who could have imagined a romcom starring Dudley from Harry Potter (Harry Melling) and tech mogul Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård, “Succession”)? Well that’s what we’re getting in “Pillion”, which feels like a familiar exploration of sexuality akin to 2024’s “Babygirl”. And for those curious about the title, a pillion is a secondary seat behind the main seat on a motorcycle and a passenger in this seat is said to ‘ride pillion’. And if you’ve gotten this far without watching the trailer yet, Skarsgård plays a biker, so Melling will be playing his passenger riding pillion.
Release Date: In US theaters on February 6, 2026
Synopsis: A timid man is swept off his feet when an enigmatic, impossibly handsome biker takes him on as his submissive.
