McDonald’s in 2025: Snack Wrap, KCon LA, & TinyTAN Magic Meetup

by Neil Bui

McDonald’s has been featured on Dorkaholics before, whether more recently for their Fryside Chat honoring the Chef John Liu, last year’s Genshin Impact collaboration, or updates from prior years including a collaboration with WEBTOON and sponsorship of OfflineTV. This year, McDonald’s has not only brought back the Snack Wrap after being discontinued, but also engaged with K-Pop fans at KCon LA as well as hosted a Magic Meetup to celebrate their TinyTAN Happy Meal featuring the members of BTS.

  1. The Snack Wrap Revival

On July 10, the Snack Wrap was brought back after being discontinued in 2016 and removed from the menu nationwide in 2020 (individual franchises could still choose to sell them between 2016 and 2020). Customers can enjoy the Snack Wrap for just $2.99 and in two flavors: Spicy and Ranch.

  • Spicy: Bold, zesty and unapologetically fiery – our Spicy Snack Wrap brings the heat with a habanero kick that fans know and love from the Spicy McCrispy sandwich.
  • Ranch: Smooth, rich and irresistibly savory – our Ranch Snack Wrap delivers a satisfying burst of cool ranch goodness, with hints of garlic and onion

And to promote the return of the Snack Wrap, McDonald’s released a new ad starring indie musician Ginger Root and TikTok creator Jon Moon.

McDonald’s fully leaned into the K-Pop and BTS fandom by hosting a Magic Meetup experience the last weekend of September filled with activities and for attendees to complete and receive a prize that compliments their TinyTAN Happy Meal toys. The activities included a photo booth, making a personal keychain, and even a claw machine.
