Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, TV, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on “Katt Williams: The Last Resort”, “The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie”, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” Season 2, and “Bridgerton” Season 4 Part II.
- Katt Williams: The Last Resort – Trailer
After crushing it with past stand-up specials including “Great America” (2018), “World War III” (2022), and the live special from Netflix Is a Joke Fest “Woke Foke” (2024), Katt Williams returns for more funny business with “The Last Resort”.
Release Date: On Netflix on February 10, 2026
Synopsis: Back for his fourth Netflix stand-up special, comedy icon Katt Williams delivers his famously bold takes on conspiracies, celebrities and the world at large in this electrifying set.
- The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie – Trailer
“The Dangers in My Heart” is a cute love story between the edgelord Kyotaro and popular girl Anna. While I could initially relate to the antisocial Kyotaro, I would hesitate to draw a direct connection to his character. But nonetheless, this looks to be a cute story. Those interested in seeing this in U.S. theaters will have to be in (or travel to) Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York and/or Fairfax, Va.
Release Date: In limited U.S. theaters on February 16, 2026 (subtitled) and February 18, 2026 (English dub)
Synopsis: Get ready for a quirky and unexpected love story! Kyotaro is a loner with a dark imagination, often lost in his own dramatic thoughts until the day he crosses paths with Anna. Her bright personality sparks something new in him, turning his world upside down in the most charming way. It’s a heartfelt tale of boy meets girl… with a delightfully offbeat twist.
- Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 – Trailer
The second season of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” teases a Titan even larger than Godzilla or Kong, possibly godlike, and is even worshipped by sea creatures. But have no fear, Kurt Russell’s character Lee Shaw is prepared with the wisdom of “to destroy a monster takes another monster”. Is this going to be another Kong X Godzilla team up a la “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”?
Release Date: On Apple TV on February 27, 2026
Synopsis: The fate of Monarch — and the world — hangs in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.
- Bridgerton Season 4 Part II – Teaser
Teaser is the appropriate name for this snippet in more ways than one. The second half of “Bridgerton” Season 4 cannot come soon enough! THE YEARNING.
Release Date: On Netflix on February 26, 2026
Synopsis: When fate brings Benedict and Sophie back together, Benedict wrestles between the reality of his affection for this intriguing maid and the fantasy of the Lady in Silver — unaware that they are the same person. Will Benedict’s inability to see these women as one in the same derail the undeniable spark between him and Sophie? And can love truly conquer anything — even a cross-class connection forbidden by society?
