What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, tv, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on Stephen Curry’s latest music video appearance, I Am Groot Season 2, Dicks: The Musical, and new X-Men figures.

  1. Stephen Curry Featured in Tobe Nwigwe Music Video

The music video for “Little Fish, Big Pond” by Tobe Nwigwe is out now after being featured on the soundtrack for the Apple Original Film, Stephen Curry: Underrated. And lo and behold, Stephen Curry himself makes a prominent appearance in the music video.

  1. I Am Groot Season 2: Trailer

Premiere Date: September 6, 2023 on Disney+

Synopsis: The troublemaking twig returns to mischief in the second season of “I Am Groot.” This time, Baby Groot finds himself exploring the universe and beyond aboard the Guardians’ spaceships, coming face-to-face—or nose-to-nose—with new and colorful creatures and environments. Vin Diesel is back as the voice of Groot in five all-new shorts. Kirsten Lepore, writer/director of season one, returns in the same capacity for season two. The supervising producer is Danielle Costa; producers are Craig Rittenbaum and Alex Scharf; executive producers are Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Kirsten Lepore. Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt is co-executive producer.

  1. Dicks: The Musical Trailer

Premiere Date: September 29, 2023 in theaters

Synopsis: Two self-obsessed businessmen (writers Aaron Jackson & Josh Sharp) discover they’re long-lost identical twins and come together to plot the reunion of their eccentric divorced parents, in this riotously funny and depraved musical from comedy icon Larry Charles (Seinfeld, Borat) also starring Megan Thee Stallion, Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, and Bowen Yang as God.
