This week, the focus is on The Boy and the Heron, May December, Quantum Leap, and Magnum P.I.
- The Boy and the Heron: First English Teaser
Distributor GKIDS has debuted the first English language teaser for the legendary Studio Ghibli’s The Boy and the Heron, the latest film by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki. The film will premiere internationally at the Opening Night Gala of the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday, September 7 with the theatrical release later this fall.
- May December: Social Teaser
Synopsis: Twenty years after their notorious tabloid romance gripped the nation, a married couple (Julianne Moore, Charles Melton) buckles under the pressure when an actress (Natalie Portman) arrives to do research for a film about their past.

- Quantum Leap: Season 2 First Look Images
The first look images for Quantum Leap Season 2 reveal new series regulars, Eliza Taylor and Peter Gadiot. Catch the premiere of Season 2 on October 4 at 8pm on NBC.
Taylor will play “Hannah Carson,” a complex young woman who may be more than she appears and is introduced in the third episode of the new season.
Gadiot will play “Tom Westfall,” a US Army Officer, former special forces, and now high up in Army Intelligence. He is described as thoughtful, centered, a spiritual kind of warrior who both men and women admire, but whose humility keeps him from ever being arrogant. Westfall will take on a crucial role overseeing the Quantum Leap project.
- Magnum P.I.: Mid-Season 5 Teaser
The second half of Magnum P.I. Season 5 returns on Wednesday, October 4 at 9pm on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
Synopsis: Magnum P.I. is a modern take on the classic series centering on Thomas Magnum, a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. A charming rogue, an American hero and a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, Magnum lives in a guest cottage on Robin’s Nest, the luxurious estate where he works as a security consultant to supplement his P.I. business. With keys to a vintage Ferrari in one hand, aviator sunglasses in the other, and an Old Düsseldorf longneck chilling in the fridge, Thomas Magnum is back on the case!
