With growing momentum behind Beyblade X, the excitement returned to Anime Expo for another year earlier this month. When it comes to the areas outside of Asia, Hasbro is the master toy licensee of Beyblade X and distribution partner of T-Licensing Inc. in North America and Europe. Those two companies along with ADK Emotions, a content and rights management company specializing in bringing Japanese animated IP to the global market, worked together to bring four days of experiences to fans of Beyblade X in attendance.
During the Anime Expo weekend, there was an off-site Beyblade X event at the Funko Hollywood store on July 3 to celebrate the launch of the first-ever Beyblade X Funko Pop! figures. The new collection features the main characters of the series, the three members of Team Persona: Jaxon, Multi, Robin, and a special chase version of Jaxon with a 1-in-6 chance of pulling him.
Throughout all four days of Anime Expo, attendees had an opportunity to challenge expert Bladers from Japan to on-stage battle with the chance of winning Beyblade X products. There was even a dedicated free play area to try out some of the newest Beyblades.
These new Beyblades include UX, BX, and CX lines, including the the attack-type Strike Dran 4-50 FF, the balance-type Rocket Griffon H, the stamina-type Rage Ragna FE 4-55 Y, and the defense-type Armor Knight GV 8-70 UN as the Defense type.
Post-Anime Expo 2026 Interview
After the weekend, Dorkaholics caught up with the ADK Emotions team to discuss the weekend as well as what’s next for the franchise.
The Funko Hollywood event was a success as the first of its kind for the team and showcased the enthusiasm of fans in the Beyblade community.
“It was a huge success! We invited three of the voice actors, hosted live battles and a Q&A, and gave away exclusive prizes to attendees. It was a first-of-its-kind joint pop-up event for us, and seeing how passionate and excited the fans were made it truly special. The energy in the room confirmed just how strong the BEYBLADE X community is.”
It turns out that the most popular product this year has been the Xtreme Battle Set.
“It’s a great all-in-one — you get the battle set plus two Beys and launchers, everything you need to get the game going right out of the box.”
When asked about an especially exciting product coming out, the new Sneak Attack Battle Set was chosen.
“We’re really excited about our latest battle set — the Sneak Attack Battle Set! It introduces a brand-new Beystadium with a pop-up rail that changes the course of battle mid-match, plus two new tops: Rampart Aegis GB, a Stamina Type with a stabilizing battle shield, and Cutter Shinobi LF, an Attack Type that switches modes during battle. It adds a whole new layer of strategy and surprise to every match.”
One of the unique aspects about the Hasbro licensing has been the brand collaborations that have resulted in Beyblades featuring iconic characters from franchises like Star Wars, Marvel, and Transformers. But unfortunately, the team was unable to share any details about upcoming collabs or even continuations of current ones.
“We can’t share details just yet, but we’ve been thrilled by the fan response to our collaborations so far — it’s exciting to see iconic characters brought to life on the blades.”
BEYBLADE X Grand Prix
Beyblade fans and Bladers can look forward to the BEYBLADE X Grand Prix, a series of tournaments across North America that starts with qualifiers in Canada on July 25 to culminate with the Canada Grand Prix on August 29 and the U.S. Grand Prix on September 5. ADK Emotions NY Inc., T-Licensing Inc., and Hasbro are partnering with Amazon to host these events, where the top Bladers of each Grand Prix will battle for a chance to advance to the BEYBLADE X Grand Prix Final in Bangkok from December 12 to 13. On August 22nd, 2026, there will be a regional tournament in California for children ages 8-12 as well as an open class event for ages 13+in California at Westfield Culver City’s Center Court by the Macy’s entrance on the first floor. There will also be a demo play area during the event from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
