Anime Expo 2023: Live Music Events Announced

Anime Expo has announced three live music events for their 2023 programming lineup which include the new AX Summer Fest, the return of the popular Neon District, and for the first ever live, anniversary concert for Shin Megami Tensei 30th LIVE: Band of Shadows Concert.

All live music events will require attendees to be Anime Expo badge holders, and to purchase additional tickets to the event.

The live anniversary concert for ATLUS in the West, Shin Megami Tensei 30th LIVE: Band of Shadows Concert celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Shin Megami Tensei series on Saturday, July 1 with an evening of music at The Novo, a 5-minute walk away from the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event will be hosted by voice actors from the series including Christian La Monte (Demi-fiend – Shin Megami Tensei III), Casey Mongillo (Nahobino – Shin Megami Tensei V) and Daman Mills (Aogami – Shin Megami Tensei V). Doors open at 6:30pm and tickets for the 18+ event can be purchased here.

The AX Summer Fest will be headlined by Japanese rock bands Cö shu Nie and mili, and kicks off on Sunday, July 2 at The Novo. Additional guests include various genres from Japan including modern Japanese pop MIREI, Japanese R&B Mii, and pop and rap blend Yameii Online. Doors open at 6pm, an hour before the event begins, with doors closing at 11pm, and the event runs until 1am. Tickets to this event can be purchased here.

The electric concert Neon District will be held at the Main Events Hall at the Los Angeles Convention Center and begins at 8pm PST on Monday, July 3. Japanese DJ and producer Taku Takahashi (co-founder of m-flo and three-time consecutive #1 DJ in LOUD’s DJ50/50 ranking). Top EDM talent from Japan will be joining, including YUC’e, Nor (Aice room), TORIENA and Koroti + Assertive. This event will be restricted to attendees 18+, and tickets can be purchased here.

With over 400 exhibitors, this year is set to be the biggest Anime Expo yet. Registration for Anime Expo 2023 is still open here.
