Cosplay Spotlight: Amanda Lynne as Batgirl

by Neil Bui

Welcome to the revitalized Dorkaholics Cosplay Spotlight! Our first cosplayer of 2020 is Amanda Lynne, who is celebrating her birthday this week!

Now I believe Amanda Lynne is as big of a DC Comics fan as I am.

She’s cosplayed Supergirl, Poison Ivy, and Black Canary, but most importantly, she’s cosplayed Barbara Gordon across the character’s different appearances throughout the DC Universe’s canon.

I’m talking: Burnside, ’66, fanart by Gabriel Picolo, and vampire-inspired. But Amanda really caught my eye with her cosplay of the classic and iconic Barbara Gordon Batgirl!

She’s even appeared as Oracle on an episode of Super Power Beat Down by batinthesun, featuring Nightwing vs. Winter Soldier.

Marvel featured her Wolverine costume on the company’s cosplay segment, Marvel Becoming. On her Instagram, you can find her as Dark Phoenix, Rogue, 90’s Jean Grey with the huge shoulder pads, Mary Jane Watson, Viper aka Madame Hydra, and more!
