Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, tv, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on trailers and teasers for Found, Doona!, Sick Girl, and Squid Game: The Challenge.

  1. Found: New Trailer Debut

Found premieres on NBC at 10pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

Synopsis: In any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about. Public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (series star and producer Shanola Hampton) — who was once herself one of those forgotten ones — and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own.

Doona! is out on Netflix on October 20, 2023.

Synopsis: A college student navigates life and school while dealing with a unique predicament — he’s living with a beautiful former K-pop idol.

  1. Sick Girl: Trailer Drops

Sick Girl is out in theaters on October 20, 2023.

Synopsis: When Wren Pepper (Nina Dobrev) feels her closest friends slipping away, she lets loose a little white lie that snowballs into a colossal, life-altering event. Jennifer Cram’s feature film debut is a hilarious take on the price of insecurity and the rewards of true friendship. Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs), Dan Bakkedahl (Veep), Brandon Mychal Smith (Four Weddings and a Funeral) and Sherry Cola (Good Trouble) join Dobrev in a brilliant comedy you won’t want to miss.

  1. Squid Game: The Challenge Teaser Premieres

Release Date: Premieres on Netflix on November 22, 2023

Synopsis: 456 real players will enter the competition show in pursuit of a life-changing reward of USD $4.56 million. As they compete through a series of games inspired by the original show – plus surprising new additions – their strategies, alliances, and character will be put to the test while competitors are eliminated around them.
