Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, tv, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on Shaky Shivers, Quantum Leap S2, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Kite Man: Hell Yeah!.

  1. Shaky Shivers: Clips

Release Date: In theaters only on September 21, 2023

Synopsis: After finding herself bitten by a mysterious animal, Lucy becomes convinced that she will transform into a fearsome werewolf. Joined by her best friend Karen, the two embark on a wild adventure filled with magic and mayhem, as they look to do battle with a throat-slashing creature ripped right out of an 80s horror movie.

  1. Quantum Leap: Season 2 Official Trailer

Premieres: On NBC on October 4 at 8pm

Synopsis: It’s been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee), has been assembled to restart the project. Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it. At Ben’s side throughout his leaps is Addison (Caitlin Bassett), a decorated Army veteran who appears in the form of a hologram only Ben can see and hear. Herbert “”Magic”” Williams (Ernie Hudson) helms the highly confidential operation whose team at headquarters includes Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park) and Jenn Chou (Nanrisa Lee).

  1. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom: Trailer

Release Date: In theaters December 20, 2023

Synopsis: Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time black manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic black trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former king of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.

  1. Kite Man: Hell Yeah!: Teaser

Release Date: Sometime in 2024 on Max

Synopsis: Can we get a HELL YEAH?! Get ready for all of Kite Man’s saucy adventures in Kite Man, Hell Yeah!, a spin-off of Harley Quinn, coming in 2024 to @StreamOnMax
