Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, TV, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on “Eraserheads: Combo on the Run”, “Masters of the Universe”, “The Season”, and “Leviticus”.
- Eraserheads: Combo on the Run – Trailer
“Eraserheads: Combo on the Run” is a documentary spotlighting the Philippines’ first rock band to win an MTV International Award, Eraserheads. They began in 1989 as students at the University of the Philippines Diliman and despite breaking up, they still left an unforgettable mark on Filipino culture. They reunited in 2022 during a time when their country was facing political unrest. At the core of this film is the story of their separation as well as what it took to come back together.

It exclusively shares the untold story of their painful breakup and the difficult but necessary challenges they had to face to get back on stage for their historic reunion in 2022, at a time when the country was grappling with political division and uncertainties.
- Masters of the Universe – Trailer
Even though I didn’t grow up in the 80s with the original “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” series, watching this trailer felt like I was kid discovering the 2002 series for the first time as a kid again. All of the magic, wonder, and fantasy, and of course the line “By the power of Greyskull, I have the power!”
Release Date: In theaters on June 5, 2026
Synopsis: After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor. To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela and Duncan/Man-At-Arms, and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.
- The Season – Trailer
This thrilling drama series has a starstudded cast including Jessie Mei Li (“Shadow and Bone”), Chris Pang (“Interior Chinatown”), Yvonne Chapman (“Avatar: The Last Airbender”), Justin Chien (“The Brothers Sun”), Karena Lam (“American Girl”), Celina Jade (“Wolf Warrior 2”), and Toby Stephens (“Percy Jackson And The Olympians”). The trailer paints a picture of the wealthy having a luxurious holiday with secrets waiting to be revealed as relationships are shaken up as the truth emerges. It feels like the fourth season of “You” on Netflix as well as “The Glory”.
Release Date: On Hulu on June 17, 2026
Synopsis: A group of friends in Hong Kong’s elite boating scene find their summer getaway descending into betrayal and power plays as hidden agendas surface.
- Leviticus – Trailer
From the producers of “Talk to Me” and “The Babadook” comes “Leviticus”. With the setting of a small town and a church community along with a title that more than likely references an Old Testament book, themes of homophobia and repression are certainly layered into this story featuring a violent, shapeshifting force.
Release Date: In theaters on June 19, 2026
Synopsis: Two teenage boys must escape a violent entity that takes the form of the person they desire most – each other.
