Bored Of Your Phone? Here’s What To Do

by Contributing Columnist

No matter how you use your phone, sometimes, you can get a bit bored of that screen. You’ve checked all the usual apps, you’ve played all your games for as long as possible without paying for any time skips, and there’s no one around to message either – what are you to do? Well, your phone is a gateway into a world of infinite possibility, and sometimes it can be hard to know what to do with that. And that’s why this post is here; here are some ideas for beating mobile boredom that you might love.

Download an Audio Book or Podcast

If you just want some background noise while you do something else, a podcast is fit for purpose. After all, if you’re doing chores around the house or you’re working away on something at your desk, the use of a podcast can help you to learn something as you go.

And if you’re not into learning anything right now, there’s a good chat or comedy podcast out there too. Above all else, it’s a great way to fill your headphones with something other than music, which can be incredibly distracting!

Word Games Always Grab the Attention

Mobile gaming has really come into its own in the past few years. Taking inspiration from our favorite console games and PC titles, gaming using your phone can be highly addictive, and it can take up a lot of your attention. However, when you’ve finished up with all the other apps on your phone, it’s a good idea to download some word games or puzzle games. Why?

Well, if you want to beat back boredom, you need to utilize all of your brain power, and what could be better for that than trying to work out some anagrams or twisting the phone the right way to line up a picture? And word games are getting pretty difficult these days; you might just need to look up some word cookies cheats when you download Word Cookies and lose a good couple hours to it!

Go on a Research Deep Dive

How much do you like finding out facts that none of your friends know? Loads of course! So why not download an app that’ll help you go on a research deep dive? Reading up on interesting topics is a great way to pass the time when you’re waiting in a queue, or just about to head to bed, or when you’re just killing time on the sofa.

And when apps like Mix exist, or websites like Reddit can be surfed directly from your phone, you can lose hours to finding out new things in droves. No matter if you’d like a new game to play, or you want to read something spooky, either site will work to suit your needs.

If you’re getting bored of your phone, don’t despair. Either take a break from it completely, or use suggestions like those above to reignite your curiosity.
