Gaming and Anime Featured in West Hall
LA Comic Con is taking over the Los Angeles Convention Center’s West Hall where an experience focused on gaming, esports, and anime will be produced by Subnation. The 147,000 square-foot venue will provide ticket holders with access to 3 main areas: the Gaming Stage, the Stream Studio, and the Gaming Freeplay Area. Expect panels, cosplay meetups, meet & greets with talent, live game demos, a collegiate League of Legends esports tournament, and more!
The 7th Annual National Cosplay Championship
Cosplayers will have the opportunity to compete for $30,000 in cash and other prizes at the 7th Annual National Cosplay Championship, with 3 different categories to participate in: Master, Journeyman, Novice. All genres welcome, including characters across all genres as well as original creations.
For comparison, last year’s show had nearly 95,000 fans. If social distancing and quarantine had an adverse effect on in-person events, then that is no longer the case with the immense growth we’re witnessing.
