Anime Expo 2019 brings together amazing cosplay

by Neil Bui

Every Fourth of July Weekend, anime fans from around the world come together in Los Angeles to celebrate their love of Japanese pop culture at Anime Expo. Among these fans are participants of the cosplay subculture. If you were unable to attend (like me) or want to relive the memories of the out of this world costumes at the Los Angeles Convention Center, here is a compilation of the amazing cosplays at Anime Expo 2019.

Our old friend @cinecosu debuted an amazing In-N-Out Ahri.

What’s that old saying, “birds of a feather flock together?” I believe that also applies for nine-tailed foxes because @monsterpoh (another friend of dorkaholics) attended Anime Expo as a stunning K/DA Ahri Prestige Edition.

@heartlessaquarius, @trey_swayze, and @lexi.the.first come together for this My Hero Academia group shoot.

In my opinion, @tiny_teacake steals the show as future Number 1 hero, Deku.

Everyone loves Men in Black, including @davidsons and his sister @joyceannes.

@nicoletters became my favorite duelist, Seto Kaiba.

If you wanted more Yu-Gi-Oh! appreciation here’s @azayaka_cosplay as Mai Valentine.

And that’s not all, she cosplays as another childhood waifu of mine – Zephyrmon from Digimon.

@kikobunni kicks it old school with Final Fantasy VII’s Yuffie Kisaragi.

Who could forget the original tsundere, Asuka Langley Sohryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion? Not @yashafluff.

Be sure to give this Pichu an Everstone so she stays this kawaii forever, @kawaii_queentsun.

@kawaii_queentsun also attended Anime Expo 2019 as Saber of “Red,” also known as Mordred, The Knight of Treachery, from Fate/Grand Order.

Also from the world of Fate/Grand Order, is @toxicyandere as the Fox Priestess of Peerless Beauty, Tamamo no Mae. Man, I could really go for some milk tea right now…

@akemi101xoxo suits up in the Kirin Armor Set from Monster Hunter: World.

She also reminds us weebs that Anime Expo 2019 Day 1 was on the Fourth of July.
